Special User’s
Group 4: Iris User’s Group
IRIS 2005, a new version developed
from scratch in FileMaker 7.0, was released
in summer 2005. A 2006 update will continue
the implementation of user requests, as
well as further work to carry out the
recommendations of CCO and to comply with
the VRA Core Categories v.4. The User
Group meeting will provide an opportunity
for questions about the current version
and suggestions for the next, as well
as a tour of the new IRIS web site.
The Image Resource Information System
(IRIS), an implementation of the VRA Core
Categories in FileMaker Pro software,
began as a cooperative venture of seven
institutions in 1997. Our work reflects
the desire to be compliant with evolving
VR standards in order to facilitate data
sharing within the IRIS community and
beyond.
All are welcome to attend!
You do not need to be an IRIS user to
learn from or contribute to this discussion.
