The Visual Resources Association is pleased to announce
the availability of seven (7) Travel Awards of $750.00 each
for the 2006 VRA Annual Conference in Baltimore, March 6-11,
2006. Travel awards for 2006 include five (5) Luraine Tansey
Travel Awards plus two (2) corporate-sponsored travel awards:
the Archivision Travel Award and the Gallery Systems Travel
Award.
An additional $250.00 may be granted to a qualified International
VRA Member for a $1000.00 award total.
All VRA members in good standing, who have not received travel
awards for the 2003, 2004 or 2005 conferences, are encouraged
to apply for an award.

the interactive or printable PDF application form, and our
"Tips for Travel Awards Applicants" please see the
VRA.org website homepage http://www.vraweb.org/ and follow
the Apply for a Travel Award links.
When submitting an application via the online interactive
PDF, your browser (IE, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) must be configured
to send the application as an attachment to your e-mail program.
Hitting the "Submit" button will automatically open
a new outgoing message in your e-mail and attach the form.
If your browser is not configured in this manner you can also
save the PDF to your computer desktop, open the file and fill
in your application, then attach the file to an e-mail. Alternately,
you can print out the PDF application form, fill in the information
and either mail or fax in your application.
Preliminary 2006 Conference information is scheduled to be
posted to the VRA.org website November 12th. In applying for
a travel award the Travel Awards Committee strongly recommends
reference to specific workshops, sessions and meetings in
the applicant's Conference Goals Statement.
The Travel Awards Application deadline is Wednesday November
30, 2005.
